July’s Locavores Series is Bringing the Best Local Tomatoes to Capitol Hill
In recent years there has been a renaissance of heirloom and locally-grown tomatoes and, with the peak of the season over the next month, we’re excited to invite you to our sixth Locavores Dinner featuring the best mid-Atlantic tomatoes we can find.
On Saturday, July 28th, Chef Michael E. Bonk will bring the Capitol Hill community a tomato centric farm-to table dinner composed of four-courses – for only $35 per person. And, for the first group of 6-10 people who make a reservation for the Locavores Dinner, we’ll treat them to a bottle of local Virginia wine.
An evening of excellent seasonal, local food merits a selection of unique wines hand-picked by our Sommelier, Patricia Ely, who is offering a special flight paired specifically with the menu for $17.00. And if you’d like to keep your wine as local as your seasonal ingredients, Patricia is highlighting a Virginia Viognier for just $22 a bottle.
The Locavore Dinner Series @ Sonoma provides Chef Bonk with the opportunity to explore and share his personal culinary influences through special seasonal menus, and we hope you can join us for this special mid-Atlantic tomato menu.
Reservations can be made by calling Sonoma at 202.544.8088 or through OpenTable on our website at sonomadc.com.
