Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar, Capitol Hill’s pioneering wine bar and farm-to-table restaurants, is celebrating our sixth year with a new Happy Hour that features unique and delicious small plates made with the mid-Atlantic’s best ingredients as well as special happy hour prices on wine, beer and cocktails designed to help ease the political gridlock on the Hill.
The new happy hour schedule at Sonoma kicked off Monday, May 14th and will run weekly Monday through Friday, from 4:30PM to 7:30PM. Happy hour is available upstairs in our airy second-floor lounge overlooking Pennsylvania Avenue.
Happy hour drink specials will include a house selection of red and white wines, sparkling wine, a craft beer, and two seasonal Italian-inspired cocktails – all for $5 each.
Sonoma’s commitment to seasonal, local cuisine is showcased in our happy hour food menu, and Chef Michael E. Bonk created a small plate bar bite menu featuring seasonal, and local ingredients.
The dishes include Cheese Fritters with seasonal jam; Pollo Frito – buttermilk fried chicken thigh with seasonal mustard; Hush Puppies with tomatoes, ‘new bay’ and horseradish; Beef Spiedini – grilled sirloin skewers with salsa verde.
Choose three items for $9, five for $14 or seven for just $19.
Take a break from everyday stresses of politics and the D.C. work-life, and enjoy a touch of Italy during Sonoma’s newly launched Italian Happy Hour.
