Old School Italian Sundays

(..and *half price* wine!)

It is well known that a great meal is central to the hearts and minds of Italian families and this weekend at Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar, we’re kicking off a night of seasonal takes on the kind of Italian-American classics that many of us grew up eating. With our special family-friendly portions and prices and accompanying half-price wine list, it’s the perfect excuse for friends and families to venture out on a Sunday evening.

Old School Sundays start June 4, 2012, with Chef Michael E. Bonk preparing “old school’ Italian-American favorites while maintaining his firm commitment to using healthy, local, and seasonal ingredients.

Think heaping bowls of pasta with house-made meatballs, delicious fresh garlic bread, naturally-raised chicken parmesan, and more. And just to encourage our guests to splurge over the delicious food, we’re keeping the prices low, all entrées will be below $15 and designed to fill you up. Are you dreaming about Italian food yet?

No evening of Italian-American classics would be complete without a solid Italian wine list. And on Sundays, Patricia Ely, our General Manager and Sommelier, has pulled together a select list of Italian wines for half-off the original price. The half-priced list will include everything from unique and hard to find barolos, to very affordably priced wines like chianti, barbera, and montepulciano.

So put on your flip flops, roll out the stroller, and invite your friends, family, or neighbors, (or just come on over by yourself) and join us on Sundays beginning on June 4.
