This New Year’s Eve, join us at Sonoma Restaurant & Wine Bar as we welcome 2012 by stepping back nearly a century to a sizzling epoch where spirits flowed freely (if illicitly), jazz was created, and Americans began to forge their own cuisine and identity.
We’ll share an evening of inspired American food, drink, and casino entertainment from the roaring twenties, and kick things off with an exclusive prohibition-era cocktail hour in our private dining room, where you’ll mingle with friends over handcrafted drinks as you ease into the evening.
After warming up with cocktails, you’ll enjoy a unique four-course dinner menu created by Executive Chef Michael E. Bonk, featuring seasonal, contemporary takes on American culinary classics from the period. A sneak preview of the menu can be found here.
After dining, we’ll usher in the New Year upstairs in our expansive lounge. We’ll be pouring period drinks all night – including small batch spirits from Boyd and Blair (no bathtub gin here!) directly from rare oak casks – playing at casino tables*, and, of course, dancing. We’re even bringing in some unique props from the era for photographs and entertainment….
The dinner and cocktail hour is $95 per person, and reservations of six or more will enjoy a complimentary bottle of sparkling during dinner service. We are also offering an early seating from 5pm to 6:30pm for only $65.
A four-glass wine pairing selected by our General Manager and Sommelier Patricia Ely is available for an additional $30. Sonoma’s full wine list will be available as well, and our certified Sommeliers Patricia and Kristin will be available to make recommendations.
Please call us at 202.544.8088 for reservations.
We hope you’ll join us for an exciting New Year’s Eve celebration.
Flapper dresses, fedora hats, feathered headbands, dapper suits, tuxes, suspenders, and other prohibition-era attire is encouraged!
*casino tables are for entertainment only!
